About Montessori Approach
“So the whole life of the child is an advance toward perfection, toward a greater completeness.”
The Montessori Approach aims to develop the whole child. Children aged from birth to 6 are the sensitive periods that they have the greatest capacity to learn and develop skills.
A prepared environment is essential where children are free to respond to their natural tendency to work. They are guided with suitable learning activities at their own pace and rhythm.
“Discipline is an aspect of individual liberty, an essential factor of success in life.” With regard to discipline, in the Montessori approach the emphasis is on self-discipline. Through the Montessori programme, the children develop independence, self-correction and a sense of responsibility.
